Counter-Measures to Be Taken on Elevator in a Building in Case of Fire
In social life, fire is one of the calamities that harm public safety as well as life and properties of people. As a common calamity confronting the people of various countries in the world, fire has caused serious damages to the life and properties of the human society. According to data provided by the world fire statistical center of the United Nations, losses due to fire has doubled in less than 7 years in the USA, for an average of 16 years in Japan, and for an average of 12 years in China. More than 10,000 fires occur every day in the whole world, killing hundreds of people. In the recent years, there has been about 40,000 fires in China every year, causing over 2000 deaths and 3000 injuries. Direct losses in property caused by fires exceeds one billion yuan per year. As proved by stern facts, fire is one of the calamities with high frequency of occurrence, and constitutes a disaster over the largest span of time and space.
