Study on Real-time Navigation Data Model Based on ESRI Shapefile

摘要：

With the development of the Intelligent Transport System,it has become an inevitable trend to achieve dynamic navigation services in adapting real-time traffic information. ESRJ Shapefile digital map format is firstly introduced in this paper,and a real-time navigation data model based on user-defined layers in Shapefile,which makes it feasible for vehicle navigation applications,is proposed next. Then various attributes of the layers,especially the ones support real-time traffic information on the Road Section Layer,are discussed in order to meet the demand for dynamic navigation. A structure of the real-time vehicle navigation system is presented in the end for practical applications.
