Use of benthic macroinvertebrates as indicators of water quality in River Njoro,Kenya
Introduction Unsustainable anthropogenic activities, including intensive agriculture and grazing along River Njoro has resulted in the deterioration of river water quality. The river is the most important source of freshwater for the riparian communities and the Lake Nakuru,a Ramsar site. The study was done in order to determine the water quality in the middle reaches of River Njoro using benthic macroinvertibrates assemblage as an indicator of water quality.
