Introduction Riparian systems,where aquatic ecosystems transition to terrestrial uplands,focus land uses and hydrologic processes into compact areas.To avoid problems of floods downstream and low flows in dry times,water must be kept on the land longer with riparian proper functioning condition ( PFC) ( e g.,Prichard et al.,1998 ).
