Establishing vegetation on mine waste areas in northern Sweden

Introduction The studies concern vegetation establishment in mine tailings from the Aitik copper mine at Gallivare in Northern Sweden (67° 0,06′N ; 20°0,8′ E).The studies were carried out between the years 1996 and 2006.The tailings consist of the rest remaining after enrichment of metals from the crushed and milled copper ore.
