Closing the deal: Principals,agents,andnd sub‐agents in New Zealand rangeland law reform
This paper examines the relation between rival interpretations of the property rights arrangements under New Zealand high country pastoral leases and the payments emerging from an ongoing land reform called.tenure review. We draw on ideas from political economy to test the rivalry between the law, social norms, administrative convention, and contractual incentives in adjudicating property in New Zealand land reform.
