Effect of biological additives on fermentation and nutritive value of silage
Ensilability of plant crops is determined by various factors.Legumes have a high protein concentration. However, their low dry matter and sugar contents as well as high buffering capacity reduce ensilability. Therefore legumes have been increasingly grown in a mixture with grasses. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of inoculants on ensilability of grass‐clover mixtures with various red clover percentages.
