Fatty acid analysis of six important forage
Conjugated linoleic acid(CLA) is one kind of fatty acid which do benefit to human health.CLA is rich in milk, beef and mutton, but rare in other animal product. The precursor to produce CLA are linoleic acid and linolenic acid(Griinari et al., 2000).Some vegetable oil such as fish oil, soybean oil, canola oil can be used to feed dairy cow to produce milk full of CLA, because they all contain much linoleic acid or linolenic acid( Abu‐Ghazaleh, et al., 2001 ; Loor and Herbine, 2003).Compared with vegetable oil, forage is more cheap and effective to produce CLA,although the content of linoleic acid or linoleic acid in forage is less than that of vegetable oil(Lock et al.2002).
