Effect of lactic acid bacterial inoculant on nitrogen change and in vitro digestibility of alfalfa silage
Alfalfa ( Medicago sativa) is a quality forage both for hay and silage. However, Protein hydrolysis occurs during fermentation process, caused 44% to 87% protein to degrade into indigestible nitrogen‐NPN ( Nonprotein Nitrogen), as the result, it is associated with nutrient losses(Papadopoulos et al.,1983).The objective of this study was to determine the effects of MicroManager, a silage additive,on preservation and digestibility of alfalfa silage making.
