Germination characteristics of Haloxylon bunge seeds

摘要：

The genus Haloxylon L.belongs to the Chenopodiaceae family and is comprised of about 11 species, which are distributed from the Mediterranean to Central Asia ( Wu, 1994 ).Two species are found in China : H.persicum and H.ammodendron (Liu,1985).Knowledge of seed germination characteristics is an important research topic in H aloxylon.The objective of this experiment was to measure seed germination and germination index under various germination conditions to understand its adaptation mechanisms to desert environments, which can provide critical information for the restoration of Haloxylon.
