Alfalfa is a perennial high‐quality legume family herb that is praised as.king of herb.It has agreeable taste, costly nutrition and has a good adaptability.Research in the genetic engineering of alfalfa is currently underway to improve alfalfa for traits such as tolerance to abiotic and biotic stresses, forage quality, and herbicide resistance.In alfalfa, Agrobacterium-mediated gene transformation is the most widely used technique for gene transferring.
