Stability of Foundation Along 1100 kV Ultra-High Voltage (UHV) Transmission Line in Variously Mining-Affected Areas

The il00kV Ultra-high voltage (UHV) transmission overhead AC line, from the southeast of the Shanxi to Nanyang of Henan province, is the first experimental demonstration engineering in China. The line crosses many kinds of mining-affected areas, such as worked-out areas, working areas, and future mining areas. The influence of mining subsidence and deformation is the reality that cant get around in the UHV line construction engineering. The paper aims to the Ultra-high Voltage experimental demonstration project, classifying scientifically and rationally the mining-affected areas according to the mining categories and degrees, putting forward the appraisal method of the foundations stability, the critical depth. Using many estimation methods of mining time, ratio between mining depth and the mining thickness and the subsidence prediction, the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the foundation stability are made. The paper also brings forward the route choice of Ultra-high Voltage transmission line in the mining-affected area, the six choice and six avoidance rule of the optimal tower foundation and the appraisal standard of the foundations stability. The research provides the technical support for the design and construction of the circuit that is to be built.
