Study on Stability of Grillage Flexible Supporting Structure with Prestressed Anchors for Homogeneous Soil Slope

Grillage flexible supporting structure with prestressed anchors has been widely used in highway slope reinforcement because of its many advantages. The design of this kind of supporting structure mainly includes bearing capacity and stability. But in the present, more importance is attached to the former than latter, which leads to many slope engineering accidents. Based on the different failure mode of soil slope, two stability analytical methods for grillage flexible supporting structure with prestressed anchors, i.e., the paper introduces the limit equilibrium method and the safety factor method. The limit equilibrium method only qualitatively analyzes the stability of supporting structure, but the safety factor method can quantitatively analyze the stability of slope reinforced according to related code. A slope engineering case is given to calculate the safety factor of both natural slope and reinforced slope by grillage flexible supporting structure with prestressed anchors with the safety factor method. In the same way, the corresponding safety factor is also calculated on the basis of related design parameters of limit equilibrium method. The comparative results show that the safety factor method is much better to analyze the stability of homogenous soil slope, because it can dynamically search the critical slipping surface, and suitable for the real situation, also it can provide reasonable reasons for the stability analysis of grillage flexible supporting structure with prestressed anchors.
