Application of Extension Classification Method in Stability Evaluation of Rock Slope

Based on the matter-element theory and dependent function, the extension theory and the classified analysis method were applied to evaluate the stability of reek slope, and an extension classification evaluation method for the stability of rock slopes was purposed. In view of the variety and complexity of the parameters influencing stability of rock slope, the factors reflecting the general rock slope engineering were taken into account for evaluation, on the basis of the reasonable selection of evaluation factors of slope stability. Taking a highway slope for example, a extension classification model for evaluation of slope stability was established by applying the correlated functions of matter elementS and extension setS, and the predicting results of the stability of rock slopes were obtained. The research results show that the extension classification method is reasonable and feasible in evaluating rock slope stability, and it can well reflect every evaluating factors influence on rock slope stability. The factor weight is determined by using improved AHP method which is obtained based on simple dependent function, and this can avoid the effect of subjective factor of human in practices and make the result of weight more objective.
