Optimized Layout of Aircraft Joystick Based on Human Model

According to the manhood anthropometric data and Lagrange Equation, the dynamics model for upper limbs steering was established. Using the physical dimension of the fighter cockpit and the flight quality demand from the design criterion, the pilot upper limbs steering was simulated. In order to judge the rationality of gripping scope, the judging method which is based on NASA strength model, joint moment calculating and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation was putted forward. Consequently, it can ensure that the plane joy stick is disposed in the comfortable area. Uging the above-mentioned method and control size range of the plane cockpit, the comfortable operation areas of side and central stick were figured out. The method and result in this study can provide reference and guidance for ergonomically evaluation when designing cockpit layout.
