Steps Used to Analyze the Failure of an Exterior Suspended Ceiling

This paper presents the steps used to recreate the events and conditions that led to the catastrophic failure of the suspended ceiling below a roof over the driving area outside the emergency room entrance of a medical center (hospital) in the state of Arizona is analyzed to determine the cause of the catastrophic failure that resulted in human injury. The analysis was done significantly later than the actual failure, requiring consideration of several possible causes for the failure.
