Research on Characteristics of Mining Effect in Coal Seam Floor above Confined Water

The hazard of confined water is one of the biggest threats when mining the lower coal seam on the deep level, and the premise to judge and to solve the threat of water inrush is to find out the potential impact on the floor by mining. On the practical basis of mining 7# coal seam in 7600 district of Feicheng Coal Mine Group, the abutment pressure distribution law in the working face floor and the damage depth impacted by mining are theoretically analyzed. The stress and strain and damage state of floor rock impacted by mining are comprehensively researched using finite difference FLAC3D simulation software, and combined with the field measurement results, the mining effect in floor is further comparatively studied; therefore, important reference to accomplish safely mining of the lower coal seam above confined water is provided.
