Study of Top Coals Short Beam Layer Failure Mechanism of Sublevel Caving Mining Working Face in Extremely Thick Coal Seam
Top coals failure mechanism of extremely thick coal seam is the basis of high efficient application of sublevel caving mining technology in mining extremely thick coal seam, on the basis of three-layer-theory of extremely thick top coal above support in sublevel caving mining working face, the mechanic model of the short beam layer which is vital to successful sublevel mining was built and studied. The mechanic model was used in 21121 working face Qianqiu Mine and 21131 working face Gengcun Mine, Yima Coal Mining Administration, and it was proved to be consistent with the practical top coal failure situation. Whats important, it can be drawn from the mechanic model that the maximum length of short beam structure layer Lp is ration to h, and also it can be effected by its own parameters E and s1 and vertical stress from above top coal and that high support strength and frequency will benefit sublevel coals full failure and high sublevel coals extraction ration.
