Influence of Temperature on Mass Transfer in Porous Media

Temperature is one of most important factors influences mass transfer in porous media. In present study, relation between temperature and mass flow, temperature and adsorption and between temperature and diffusion are analyzed theoretically. Functions of quantity of mass flow in porous medium, diffusion and adsorption velocity vary with temperature are deduced. It proved that under same pressure and grade of pressure, flow flux decrease remarkably while temperature increase. The higher the temperature is, the faster the velocity of common diffusion and the smaller the velocity of Kundsen diffusion is. Increasing the temperature will cause adsorption velocity to increase but the amount of gas being adsorbed to deorease.
