Study on Gas Concentration Distribution Laws and Gas Drainage Method in Mined-out Area

Its an important meaning of avoiding or decreasing upper comer gas concentration over safe-limit in working face that in detail study gas enncentration distribution laws and gas drainage methods in mined-out area. In this paper, gas concentration distribution laws of minad-out area were tested and analyzed by two kinds of ways of testing in mined-out area: burying pipe and numerical value simulating. Three kinds of mined-out area gas drainage methods were put forward. Based on the mined-out area gas concentration distribution laws of test working face and the advantages and disadvantages of three kind mined-out area gas drainage methods, the gas drainage method of burying magnesite pipe in mined-out area was selected and tested in the test working face. The test results indicate that the method of burying pipe drainage mined-out area gas can greatly decrease working face gas emission quantity, the effect of processing upper corner gas accumulation is very obvious; the weight of magnesite pipe is light and its price is low, the installation is simple and convenient, and the engineering quantity is small.
