Taxonomic Analysis on Fatality incident Based on Gold Mine

Accident or incident data analysis is an important method of hazard identification. Appropriate data analysis will provide information that how the accidents occur or what arc major causes of these accidents. So feasible classification of them can provide more information on what has happened before and direct hazard identification. To gain sufficient insight into the aetiology of gold mine-related accident and establish key focus areas for future control taxonomy was applied for ShanDong Gold Mining Company which provides 150 underground fatality incidence narratives for the year 1976-2006. This information was scientifically organized using the taxonomic process involving observation, description and classification of the data into groups based on accident causation model. The taxonomic analysis would helpful for the improvement of safety management in the gold mine.
