Modeling and Simulation of Liquefied Hazardous Gas Diffusion with GIS

A novel model for liquefied hazardous gas diffusion based on Gaussian puff instantaneous leakage theory has been developed. According to this model, the concentration of hazardous gas at certain time, location and weather condition can be calculated, and the concentration isolines at half lethal dose, severe injury dose, moderate injury dose, and slight injury dose can be traced out accordingly. The process of liquefied hazardous gas diffusion on the spatial distribution can be simulated and shown with GIS dynamically by programming. In simulations, the diffusion trend and pattern is described visually and exactly in the map, which can greatly help to predict and control the mischief caused by liquefied hazardous gas diffusion accidents. Though detailed application example, different zones connecting with eoncenwation isoliues at different dose are illustrated at different time, wind direction and speed. And the results are close to the actual situation.
