Research of Attenuating Blast Vibration of New Gas Induced Fracture Technology Explosive
For searching the effect of explosive character on blast vibration, the trial blasting of Gas Induced Fracture Technology explosives and commercial explosives are done respectively at the Lower Lift Pump Station in Vaal River Eastern Sub-system Augmentation Project of the South Africa. Through adopting the White Mini Seis Ⅱ high resolution seismograph to monitor the ground vibration of two trial blasts, the attenuation function relation of ground particular peak vibration versus the distance to blast source and the vibration duration of two explosives are obtained. These two explosives have similar attenuation of the ground particular peak vibration by contrasting and analyzing the results, but the particular peak vibration and the vibration duration of the Gas Induced Fracture Technology explosives is observably less than the commercial explosives. So it is an effective measure to reduce the blast vibration by using the Gas Induced Fracture Technology explosives.
