Development of NPD Fireproof Coating for Tunnel Lining
Fire resistance, waterproof property, bond behavior and smoke toxicity are the main performance indexes of tunnel fireproof coating. By many experiments, we found that when the PH value of sodium silicate decreases to around 10, nano-material TiO2 can be dispersed in sodium silicate evenly. And the main properties are improved due to the synergistic effect of nano-material and organic polymer material. The raw materials were selected according to the perficularities of the tunnel structure and the formula was determined based on a lot of contrast orthogonal tests, and then a thin, environmental-friendly and expanding tunnel special fireproof coating was developed, whose performance comes up to the advanced domestic standards in comparison with non-expanding coating sold on the market.
