Research on Numerical Simulation of Similarity of the Scale Model and Prototype of Large-Space Building Fire

In receut years the large space building develops rapidly, our countyys fire protection standard is usually unable to satisfy the need of the large-space buildings fire protection design. Performance-based fire protection design has become the trend. Because of the lower cost, numerical simulation has become a common method of fire protection design, But its reliability cant guaranteed. Therefore its necessary to carry out an experimental study to enhance the safety of an engineering design. But a full scale experimental study costs too high, so a scale model is generally used in the project. This article compared and analyzed the result of the scale model and the prototypes fire simulation by FDS, verified the reliability of the scale model and provided a reference for the following experimental study.
