Application of Numerical Simulation Technology in Analysis of Constructing High-rise Fire

It was hard to extinguish the fire in constructing high-rise and the key to evacuation of constructing high-rise fire was to correctly predict the changes of parameters under catastrophic conditions, in particular, the forecast of scope of the spread of smoke, gas concentration and flame, as well as the proliferation of toxic gases. In order to obtain fire parameters of constructing high-rise, the paper used FDS (Fire Dynamics Simulator) software, developed by NIST (United States Institute of Standards and Technology), to built the model of constructing high-rise construction, and carried out a full-size constructing high-rise fire simulation. The law of vertical variation of fire smoke concentration, oxygen concentration and temperature concentrationare found by processing and analyzing the experimental simulation data. By analyzing the effect of fire with wind of different direction and speed, we suggest a method of preventing the spread of flame ,and validate the impact of it by FDS. The law will provide a powerful basis for preventing or mitigating fire disaster and decision-making of fire protection.
