Exposure Level to Cosmic Radiation of Aircrew of Hainan Airlines
The objective of this study is to calculate the exposure level to cosmic radiation of aircrew members of Hainan Airlines for radiation protection. According to the flight data, the cosmic radiation effective doses received by aircrew members on aircraft flights during 2007 were calculated using software CARI-6. In 439 routes calculated, maximum effective dose on aircraft flight is 11.8μSv, minimum is 0.4SuSv. For all routes, the average effective dose rate is 1.90μSv/h, the maximum annual individual effective dose is 1.90mSv for pilots and 2.66mSv for flight attendants, both in limits recommended by ICRP.
