Fractal Correlation Dimension Analysis of Cellular Automation Evacuation Model

Evacuation is one of the key technology fields of the performance-based fire prevention which is based on the theory of safety engineering. A large number of the escape shows that the complex process of evacuation of non-linear features when a fire break out. Fractal dimension is the important parameter to describe complex system of nonlinear phenomenon. Because of their good special features fractal correlation dimension establish relationship with nonlinear problem with the method phase space reconstruction. An improved cellular automation model is brought out based on the common evacuation discrete cellular automation model. It uses the introduction of a social model of thinking, to expand the development of a cellular automaton model. Improved model introduced a new model of dangerous and vision concept, considering the source of fire on the behavior of people, the friction between people, walls and obstacles to human, taking into account the different age of staff will have different speed. A commercial building measured in the research based on the new improved model. According to the improved cellular automata simulation results, the value of the staff dangerous in each step can be regarded as the based data sequence. Through reconstruction phase space theory, reconstruct the phase space toward satisfy the terms of fractal random statistical self-similarity, calculate the correlation dimension, so the complex non-linear characteristics phenomenon can get a quantitative description. The results show that the fractal correlation dimension can to a certain extent reflect the security effectiveness in the process of fire escape.
