Study on Fire Protection Evacuation Maximum Direct Distance in Business Halls

摘要：

New issue Code of Design on Building Fire Protection and Prevention and Code for Fire Protection Design of Tall Buildings prescribed clearly that direct distance of human evacuation in business halls. But the short side lengths of rectangle business were smaller according to above prescription counted out and large shopping centre was not permitted to design and build. The direct distance was bigger specified in NFPA101 (National Fire Protection Association) of the United States, but it couldnt meet the demands. New maximum direct distance was put forward which keeping with Chinese special features, basing on NFPA101 and keeping pace with times. Firstly design possibility was discussed, and then the new direct distance in business halls was proved by performance-based fire protection design and assessment Result indicated that occupants evacuation was safe. It can be consulted when NFPA101 and other codes are emended.
