Study on the Construction of China Auto Industrial Base based on the Core——Periphery Theory

摘要：

The article applies the core-periphery theory into the auto industry and uses the construction of U.S.and Japan auto industrial bases as examples to illustrate the self-formation and self-maintenance of this Core-Periphery distribution under the effects of polarization and diffusion.Then,the article tries to build the Core-Periphery model for China Auto Industry,learning from the experience of U.S.and Japan.By using Cluster Analysis,Shanghai is defined as the largest auto industrial core in China.After that,the article studies on the construction of Shanghai auto industrial base——Shanghai International Auto City.By analyzing its polarization and diffusion process,suggestions are finally put forward on its construction.
