Cluster Demonstrate Significant Competitive Advantage in Regional Textile Industry

摘要：

the textile industry is a typical labor-intensive industry.According to the traditional theory of regional division of labor,it suits the regions of abundant resources and low labor cost.However,through the comparative analysis of the development of the textile industry in eastern regions of China and the central and western regions,it reaches the opposite conclusion.That because with the increasing of factor floating and the specialized division of labor,the supporting role of the factor endowment to the development of textile industry is gradually weakening while the role of economies of scale is significantly enhancing.The Textile industry is an industry of significant external economies of scale; industry agglomeration can decrease the production costs,and form the regional textile industrys competitive advantage.
