The Impact of Chinas Innovation Activities on Economic Growth

Research on Innovation Activities has received increased attention recently. This paper categories innovation activity into innovative resources, innovative outcomes, innovative dissemination, and innovative practice, selecting statistic sample from the year of 1994 to 2005, and using two different methods to show innovation activities do have some positive effect on economic growth. On one hand, the paper takes innovation activities as a whole to analyze the relationship between innovation and economic growth, using Principal Component Analysis Method. On the other hand, the paper analyzes the influence of single innovative variable, including innovative resources, innovative outcomes, innovative dissemination, and innovative practice on economic growth, respectively, through Finite Distribution Lag Model. These two different methods complement each other s drawbacks, making the analysis based on a more complete scale.
