Technology Innovation of Virtual Organization:The Case in Chinese Industry
This paper examines the organizational design in the industry in china. We apply a modified version of Henry W. Chesbrough and David J. Teece s ( Henry W. Chesbrough and David J. Teece, 1996. When is virtual virtuous? Organizing for innovation. Harvard Business Review January-February.) model of matching organization to innovation. Using the four cases of the Huawei, Zhongxin, Metersbonwe and Xinjian, we analyze how the organization designs in those relatively successful companies are. We find that as a condition for success, companies should matching organization to innovation in Chinese special context. This paper provides new theoretical basis and approach for Chinese enterprise to allocate internal and external resources efficiently and improve the innovation capacity and market competency.
