Regression Analysis of Related Factors to Death Rate of Million Tons in Coal Mine

Coal is one of the most widely used energy source in China. Although safer modem underground mining methods have been introduced, mine accidents in China still cause loss of lives and money in certain mines. Based on the assumption of linear regression of the death rate of million tons about related factors in coal mine and taking the example of the coal mine death data between 1988 and 1995 about Chinese state-owned coal mines, this paper generated the dualistic linear regression equation of death rate of million tons about its two significant factors. And the result indicated that all the assumptions of the regression equation are reasonable. So the regression equation can be used to predict and control the death rate of million tons in coal mine.
