Information Common in University Library: Planning and Modeling

摘要：

Information commons can encourage research, discovery, instruction and learning and meld the traditional library service with the latest technology. This article introduces the concept of information commons, describes some of its cases, and focuses on building information commons in university library to support the academic mission of the institution. The issues of space planning,modification of services and facilities are explicated. A model of information commons is designed and expounded.
