Management Features and Implications of American Academic Universities

摘要：

Originated in Germany and developed in Britain, modern university education system grew into maturity in America. This is why those countries such as Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan that used to apply British or German education systems have turned or are turning to American education system. In this sense, its necessary to know the main features of American top academic universities in order to build world-class academic universities. This thesis begins with research on American universities, by exploring in depth from respects such as school-running scale, school management,teaching activities, management of scientific research labs as well as teachers team building. By comparing above-mentioned respects with Chinas universities, this thesis aims to provide some advice for how to build world-class academic universities in China.
