University Spirit and Core Competitiveness in the Context of Globalization

摘要：

University spirit is the essential reflection of university culture accumulated over the historical development. The common part of spirit of universities include the spirit of freedom, the spirit of tolerance, the spirit of innovation, the spirit of morality, the spirit of truth and the spirit of time. With the globalization of world economy and internationalization of higher education, the core competitiveness becomes the major concern for universities to develop and compete with their world peers. University spirit has a direct influence on the nurturing of university environment, enhancing of core competitiveness and training of qualified talents. This paper elaborates the relationship between university spirit and core competitiveness with consideration of rapid expansion of Chinas higher education.
