A Survey of Heuristic Teaching Status in University Classroom
Classroom questioning, as an important component of heuristic teaching in university, is a major determinant of classroom teaching quality. Taking Nanehang University as a research object, the authors conducted a questionnaire survey on the status of classroom questioning in Nanchang University.The results from data statistical analysis by software SPSS showed that the overall level of teachers classroom questioning was above medium level. Majority of the students thought that teachers scientific and reasonable questioning in class could promote their thinking ability effectively, and agreed that the teachers should ask questions in class. The problems exist in classroom questioning are as follows: (1) Science of classroom questions set by teacher has great improvement space. (2) Management of students answering questions has a certain gap with their requests. (3) Students willingness to answer or ask questions initiatively is relatively weak. (4) The main factors affecting students questioning are classroom atmosphere and questioning just being one way of measuring usual performance. Based on the investigation results, this article also discusses how to improve quality of classroom questioning in university, and puts forward some corresponding suggestions.
