Research of 6σ on Undergraduates Satisfaction of the Certified Public Accountant Specialty
6σ (also referred to as Six Sigma) was first used and put into practice as a significant quality control strategy by Motorola at the end of 1980s. By sorting through the literatures published at home and abroad, an investigation of the basic theories of 6σ, and a full understanding of the 6σ quality management tools and its concrete application, the author discovered some defects with the setup and management of the certified public accountant specialty by use of the methods of literature review, field survey, comparative analysis and charting, which were mainly reflected by: few opportunities for practice, insufficient communication with the teachers and poor software and hardware facilities. By analyzing the causes of the defects, the author formulated a specific improvement plan of targeted processes and improved the satisfaction with the setup and management of the certified public accountant specialty through the implementation of the 6σ process, which reached the anticipated target.
