Study on the Growth of Manufacture Industry in Beijing

摘要：

This paper analyzes the manufacturing indusny in Beijing by using shift-share method．National share，industrial structure and local regional competition factor were employed to explain the growth in manufacturing industry．The result indicates that between 1997 and 2002 the manufacturing industrial structure in Beijing surpasses the average level of the nation and the regional competitiveness is higher than the national average level．However,there is no such advantage between 2002 and 2006．In this paper,leading and lagging industries in aeijing are identified；the strategy and suggestion about the development of manufacturing industry in Beijing are put forward.
