Factor Analysis of Urban Economic Competitive Capacity of Hebei Province

摘要：

This paper make factor analysis on urban economic competitive capacity of 11 prefecture level cities of Hebei，based on the data of 2005，by applying factor analysis method in multivariate statistical analysis and using SPSS(a statistics software)．According to comprehensive scores，the 11cities are divided into four types based on competitive capacity：the center cities of the province with the strongest competitive capacity,the regional central cities with stronger competitive capacity,the regional central cities with middle level of competitive capacity,the regional central cities with weaker competitive capacity．Finally,according to the cities of different type of competitive capacity,it put forwards a series of concrete countermeasures to promote urban economic competitive capacity including making scientific development plan,reinforcing the communication and the cooperation between the cities，carrying out the strategy of urban differentiation,promoting urban residents quality continuously,etc．
