Research on Model of Sustainable Development in Plateau Lake Basins

摘要：

Freshwater lakes in Yunnun-Guizhou Plateau suffer from water scarcity and water pollution due to rapid economic and demographic development,urbanization,industrialization,tourism,and inefficient agricultural activities．It is essential to pursue sustainable development in these basins；the paper proposes the model of sustainable development in Plateau Lake basins based on four-aspect balance using the system method．The development of river basins should be carried on in the water environment carrying capacity(WECC)through the establishment of total quantity control and the ecological compensation system．Constructive management measures are then suggested to achieve sustainable development in plateau river basins．
