Quantitative Evaluation on Dissociative Formaldehyde Release from Plywood Causing Environmental Pollution
Dissociarive formaldehyde release from wood—based panels is a serious issue which leads to the severe air pollution and interior environmental pollution. In order to evaluate quantitatively dissociative formaldehyde release, the Maxwell model,Delvin model and Burger model were used to fit the creep behavior which the dissociative formaldehyde released from plywood, because the behavior of formaldehyde release from plywood is similar to the creep behavior of material and the liquid, the behavior of the formaldehyde emission from plywood was modeled by means of the rheological theory. The result showed that the derived creeping model is fit to evaluate the creep behavior of formaldehyde release from plywood quantitatively due to the deviation between the theory value and the test value being only 0.67 mg/L.
