The Influence of Regulatory Pressure on the Combination of Corporate Political Strategies and Tacries

Corporate political activates(CPAs)have been attracting attention from management scholars in the last 30 years．However,most of the research emphasizes on influencing factors on the overall level of CPAs,relatively little attention has been paid to the combination of corporate political strategies (CPSs)and tactics(CPTs)，or the factors that influence the combination．The impact of regulatory pressure-one of the most examined influencing factors on the overall level of CPAs in the previous studies-on the combination of CPSs and CPTs is examined in this project.The results show that it is of important impact on the complexity of the combination and the nature of CPSs and CPTs adoptecd.In particular,the heavier the regulatory pressure，the more varied,confrontational,secretive and indirect (i.e．through third parties’influence)tactics are used,and these tactics are used more intensively．
