Magnetic Properties of CozZ Ferrite Sintered in Oxygen Atmosphere

Z-type hexaferrites Ba1.5Srx(x=1.5) Co2Fe24041 (Co2Z) powders were prepared by standard ceramic method and sintered in oxygen atmosphere. The crystal structure, microstructure and magnetic properties were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and impedance analyzer (HP4291B) from IMHz-1.8GHz, respectively. Experimental results show that through introducing sintering in oxygen atmosphere in ordinary technology, although initial permeability of sintered samples was slightly lower, but quality factor Q increased apparently especially in high frequency under GHz. As sintering temperature increase, initial permeability decrease, cut-off frequency and nature resonance frequency shift toward higher frequency, and the quality factor increase. An initial permeability of 5 and quality factor Q of 14 (1GHz) were obtained for the sample with pre-sintering temperature at 1250℃ in oxygen atmosphere.
