Study on the Optimization of Additives on the Direct Current-Bias of Mn-Zn Ferrite Material
Under the dc current, it has been difficult to use high permeability Mn-Zn ferrite at a initial permeability beyond 15000μ due to its high inductance drop. This study on optimization of additives on high permeability Mn-Zn ferrite material with different additives of TiO2, CaCO3, SnO3,V2O5, simultaneously. We have been trying to improve the inductance drop and magnetic properties of Mn-Zn ferrite by alterations of the chemical composition and additives. We found that the chemical combination and the additives of TiO2, CaCO3,SnO3,V2O5 to Mn-Zn ferrite produced a remarkable increase in inductance residual under the DC-Bias current and an improvement in initial permeability. The DC-Bias capability of new material was increasing about 25% compared with that of conventional material. These results demonstrated that new material has further improvement of DC-Bias behavior.
