Preparation of Mn-Zn Ferrite Co-precipitation Powders from Neutral Leached Residues of Zinc Calcine

Mn-Zn ferrite co-precipitation powders were prepared from neutral leached residues and kiln slags in zinc hydrometallurgy after the processes of leaching, reduction, purification and co-precipitation. The optimum conditions of leaching, sulfide precipitation and fluorination precipitation were determined. The experimental results show that the content ratio of Fe, Mn and Zn of the co-precipitation powders accords well with theoretical prescription, especially with a low impurities content. Concentration of impurities in the co-precipitation powders, are Ca 0.018%, Mg 0.0085%, Si 0.0038%, Al 0.0078%, Ni 0.017%, Pb 0.0012%,Cu 0.0033%,Cr 0.0028%,Cd 0.0002%, respectively, meeting the qualification of powders being made into Mn-Zn soft magnetic ferrite.
