Study of the Induced Magnetic Anisotropy Versus Temperature in Cobalt Substituted NiZnCu Ferrites
Cobalt substitutions were investigated in NixZn0.8-xCu0.2Fe2O4 ferrites for three different Ni/Zn ratios (Ni/Zn = 0.428, 1 and 3). Initial complex permeability was measured from 1 MHz to 1 GHz. For Ni/Zn =0.428 and 1, cobalt substitution led to a decrease of the permeability and an increase of the μs*Fr factor. For the Ni/Zn = 3 ratio, a slight increase of the permeability was noticed until Co = 0.021mol. We observed a magneto-crystalline anisotropy cancellation due to cobalt substitution. Study of the complex permeability versus temperature highlighted that the most resonant character was obtained at this cancellation temperature. This proves that magnetic anisotropy induced by the cobalt is still present and seems to be stronger at this temperature.
