Design of Permanent Magnetic Circuit of Magneto-optical Isolator Using Ansys Software
Several permanent magnetic circuits for polarize related magneto-optical isolator have been designed, Throgh the calculation for the cross-sections magnetic field distribution of these magnetic-optical isolators by Ansys software,We can get different magnetic field distribution in each permanent magnetic circuit which we put polarizers and Garnet crystal in, if the polarizers have the same diameter with the magneto-optical crystal, the magnetic field distribution is homogeneous in the direction of light transimission. This made the design of 45° Faraday rotator very easy. So the simplest permanent magnetic circuit is the most feasible oneircuit.
