The Structural and Magnetic Properties of Sr1-χLaχFe2n-χCoχO19 Fine Particles Prepared by Chemical Coprecipitation
The Sr1-χLaχFe2n-χCoχO19 fine particles were prepared by a modified flux method, which combines a chemical coprecipitation process and the synthesis from salt (NaCl) melt. The precipitate mixed with NaCI and was heated in air at 700℃-1200℃ for 2h. After the NaCl was dissolved in water, finely divided LaCo-substituted Sr-ferrite particles were obtained. When the LaCo-substitution x was kept to a constant 0.30 and the molar ratio n changed from 5.2 to 5.8, it was found that the magnetization σ16 (magnetization at H=1273kA/m or 16kOe) is largest for n=5.2. In the case of n=5.2 for χ≦0.30 the σ16 remains more or less constant; while for x>0.3 σ16 decreased with increasing x. In comparison with the Sr-ferrite all the LaCo-substituted Sr-ferrites have a higher coercivity Hc. For example, for n=5.2, x=0.30, Hc=485kA/m,σ16=76.7x 10-6Wb.m/kg.
